Méribel sits at the heart of Les Trois Vallées, the world’s largest linked ski area and along with it's partners in surrounding resorts it continues to improve facilities year on year. Here are a few of the exciting changes for next season.
Gondola makovers
Rhodos gondola gets its final makeover. The renovation is being completed, including the arrival station at the top.
Across in the Couchevel valley, La Tania’s gondola is getting 52 new eight-person panoramic cabins which will add comfort and increased capacity. Chenus gets a new 300 m² panoramic terrace to enjoy the fantastic views across the surrounding valleys.

An artistic makeover
Plattières gets an artistic makeover, with French artist Lucas Beaufort creating a new visual treatment for the gondola cabins.

Châtelet chairlift reopens
Châtelet chairlift reopens at Méribel-Mottaret. This is particularly useful for the snowpark: it takes you directly from the bottom of the park back to the top, making laps much easier.

State of the art snowmaking
La Truite piste (or the Trout as we know it!) the snowmaking system is being substantially modernised, with an investment of more than €3million and newer, more efficient snowmaking equipment. This is positive news for the many skiers and riders who take the green run between Mottaret and Méribel.

Niverolle piste improvements
The red piste, Niverolle on the Mottaret side of La Saulire which descends to the mid station of Pas du Lac is being improved. The piste is being reshaped and better snowmaking facilities added, therefore the run down should be smoother and more dependable earlier/later in the season.

At La Chaudanne, there’s a new rest room facility and at NOMAD Méribel is a more substantial lifestyle addition: a new all-day venue at La Chaudanne combining food, après-ski and evening entertainment, with sauna, hammam and sensory shower facilities.

Getting around and insider tips
The resort’s central lift station at La Chaudanne and the great location of Ski Cuisine's chalets make it easy to reach the pistes and lifts from your chalet. Meribel centre is a lovely place to spend some time browsing the shops and stop for a well earned hot chocolate or your favourite tipple! For non skiers or those that want to explore the valley there is a free bus service that enables you to reach all areas on the resort. In our chalets you will find piste maps, bus timetables, walking maps or just ask our friendly team for top tips and suggestions.
