Best time to go on your first family ski holiday

06 June 2016

First week of the season!

If you’re looking for tips on how to be the first on the slopes this season, we only have one... get here early! We find that the first week of the season is underrated and we want to tell you why, especially if it’s your first family ski holiday.

Meribel is an ideal first family ski holiday destination, with a range of beginner to expert runs and over 31 km of cross country. Needless to say that the vast choice of 319 pistes and 600km of ski runs with breathtaking scenery of the surrounding mountains would be reason enough to visit.

The Meribel valley is at the centre of the action in the Three Valleys. In the Meribel area, you will find two of the best snowparks in Europe. The Moon Park (pictured, above right) and the DC Park. Both have a range of jumps catering for all levels of experience and difficulty.

The Three Valleys is the largest linked ski area in the world and is serviced by one the fastest and most modern ski lift systems too. All adding to the long list of reasons to visit.

No queues

During the peak season, ski lifts can be busy with queues on the popular routes. If you go skiing during the first week of the season you can expect no queues which means more fun and more time on the slopes.
